January 2012 Employee of the Month Karyn Streicher
Karyn is one of the hardest workers our facility has; she works long hours, comes in on her afternoon off and volunteers to work for others when she is able. Karyn is part of the reason Women & Family has such a positive atmosphere. She welcomes all new employees and watches over them and helps with training, always with a positive disposition. Karyn most recently volunteered to work Saturday mornings to prevent conflict within the clinics. Karyn has been a key leader with implementing EMR and has helped the staff to learn it as well. She goes over and above her job duties and deserves to be honored as employee of the month.

December 2011 Employee of the Month Dr. Douglas Heighton
"Dr. Heighton is one of the kindest physicians they have ever known," says Midwest Family Medical Care clinic staff. He never gets mad or angry even if someone makes a “stupid” mistake. He treats everyone the same. He performs “random acts of kindness”. For example on his day off he brought in a DQ cake for all of the staff to enjoy. Again, it is an absolute joy to work with Dr. Heighton.

February 2012 Employee of the Month Mary Branham
Mary is always willing to help out. She helps with charges will come down and work through a surgery with the coders so they have a better understanding of what happened. She never complains and always says “I’ll be glad to help you as best I can” Mary never hesitates when asked for help and never gives the impression that she is too busy. She’ll even help get transcription sent once the dr. has dictated if they forget. Mary always has a big smile and a ready laugh.

March 2012 Employee of the Month Connie Belshaw
Connie Belshaw is very deserving of the Employee of the Month award. I have worked with her for 16 years and have never failed to notice her caring and dedication towards the patients. Due to her experience with Dr. Veeder’s patients on Tuesday mornings, she has become familiar with our oncology patients, greeting them with a smile and addressing them by name, as they come in the door and offering any assistance to make them feel comfortable. She is also very compassionate and caring with patients. Connie’s caring attitude and professionalism set a good example for other nurses and employees.
