1. Assist in the care of pregnant women during labor and delivery.
2. Assist in the care of newborns immediately after delivery.
3. Assist the RN with care of post-partum patients and their newborns
4. Cleaning following delivery, including instruments and equipment.
5. Perform Hearing Screening Tests.
6. Assist with patient and family education

The Licensed Practical Nurse is a clinical practitioner who participates in providing patient care. He/she is able to implement and evaluate patient care specific to the age of the patient population served from newborn to the young adult. He/she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of organization; remains flexible to changing system; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. Acts as a patient advocate at all times. To assist the primary provider in all professional and clinical procedures. Clinical procedures shall include phlebotomy, performing EKG’s, urinalysis, injections, and taking and recording patient vital signs.

Pediatric Clinic experience preferred.

The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible for providing personal care to the residents. Personal care includes assistance with meals, dressing, movement, and bathing. The CNA follows established facility policies and procedures while providing care and coordinates resident care with other facility personnel and families.

Education and Qualification:
CNA certification with experience in long term care and dementia preferred
Also food handling training certificate required (can be obtained during first 6 months of employment)
High School Diploma
Experience with cooking desired

Days of work and shifts will vary - Weekend work as well.
